We have been homeschooling as Independent and were needing to get "official" transcripts for our son. This is a nice diploma, very classy, however, be careful of using a suffix in a name. My husbands name listed on the bottom a a signatory has a third behind it. So I used the customary three I’s, III. Looks fine here, but I got it in Edwardian script, and with no way to review the actual document, I didn’t realize I was going to get three very fancy I’s after his name............thinking I might have to reorder it.

I m very happy with the quality of the diploma. I thought the price of it as well as the cost of shipping were a bit high but the shipping was super fast and the diploma looks very professional. Some people mentioned a ribbon in their reviews but I did not receive one. But then again I did not see one in the pictures so maybe that's no longer done. I hope I am able to attach the seals properly and professionally. One suggestion I have is to have the option for halda to do that. Also, a heads up to future customers: if you choose the navy blue diploma cover it automatically come with the Psalm seal. The seal you select is for the actual certificate.

Excellent quality and turn around time from order processing, shipment and receiving. I ordered the black Diploma case with the "English Towne" Script, and an honor seal. The case is well made: thick and appears to be leather material.The gold embossing is beautiful and adds such a nice touch to the exterior of the case. Inside, the tabs that hold the diploma are made from a cream colored satin. The diploma itself is made of thick stock paper, and the printing is of excellent quality...just as shown on the images. A thick flexible plastic sheet is included to enclose the diploma. The gold seals are nice and thick and the images are raised. Note, you will need to attach the seal/s once you are done signing the document/s. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase and recommend it to anyone seeking a professionally, well made product.

I needed to make some changes after submitting my order. I called the number for the company and was able to leave a voicemail. That alone was AMAZING. A actually voicemail! I also emailed the company the same night l submitted my order. They emailed me back first thing in the morning and immediately made all my changes for me. On my order I checked the following boxes:
"Student was homeschooled according to state law," and "I have proofread for errors." I think it would be most helpful to parents and students if "homeschooled in accordance with the laws of the State of (example: Ohio)," was an option to be printed on the diploma. Unfortunately there are companies who still discriminate against homeschoolers. My son graduated 11 years ago. The homeschool transcripts that got him into college were not enough for his prospective new employer who required to see his high school diploma. I was an HSLDA member at that time and did everything in accordance with the laws of our state. That being said, we are extremely happy with the professional quality and the distinguished look of this diploma.

I made the mistake but it really wasn't very clear when I was ordering my nephew's diploma. I had first purchased the standard diploma and when I went back I saw the personalized one. Well, we ended up with 2 diplomas. I just think for future purchases you might want to have some kind of clarification on which diploma you are purchasing instead of the shocking price.

Thank you for ordering a diploma from HSLDA and taking the time to review your purchase! I apologize that our website was not clear about embossing on the diploma cases. Unfortunately the only way that the Navy case comes is with the Psalms 119:105 seal embossed in gold on the outside and the only way that the black case comes is with “High School Diploma” embossed in gold. However, you do get to choose which gold foil seal you would like for the certificate. Again, I’m so sorry if this distinction was not made clear at the time when you placed your order. If you are not satisfied with your diploma case and would prefer the black case I would be happy to help you exchange cases. We purchased our home school diploma through HSLDA because we thought that would make it "official". We were wrong.
After receiving the diploma, there's nothing official about it. It's simply a pre-printed certificate run through a laser printer with your information on it.
As a designer, the layout comes across as unprofessional compared to the diploma's handed out when we were in high school. If I were handed this as an employer, etc. I would question it's authenticity based upon the design alone.
Most annoying is a long line from side to side where the student's name and school name are printed. That's never seen on professional diploma's.
Unfortunately, we can't return a customized diploma - even though it's a $.75 sheet of paper.
Since an HSLDA diploma isn't any more "official" than another service, we should have done additional shopping online beforehand. I found one exactly like the one I want, but now it's too late – or I'm out another $30.

Very nice product, I'm proud to be able to give it to my daughter. Only things I'd change is the ability to choose the colors of our school and a way to put the titles of principal and vice principal under the signature line. The diploma comes only in the colors in the online example, and the case came in blue.
